11 years ago today on 1 June 2009 Exact Logistics first opened its doors. Founders Adam & Karen Shuter were joined by Fred Kennettas Operations Director. 11 years on the team has grown to 20 people and we have weathered a few storms!

It was not the best time to start a new business: we could not know that the economic recession triggered by the 2008 financial crash would continue. But growth was steady and we still have customers who have traded with us from day one.

We have charted our history in a timeline at https://www.exactlogistics.co.uk/about-us

Looking back over the 11 years, the thing that stands out for me personally is the wonderful people we have come across. We could not have achieved any of our current success without the hard work and dedication of our team; they always go the extra mile. We have built close relationships with many customers, both here in the UK and In Europe as our businesses have developed together. We have had the support of some outstanding suppliers too, many here in Warwickshire such as RentUrApp, Glued and Burgis & Bullock.

Like most other businesses we have been hit hard by Coronavirus. As a key industry we have continued to work, delivering emergency and critical supplies as well as e-commerce orders to people stuck at home. We have had to rethink the way we work to protect our staff and customers. We have been incredibly proud of our staff who have adapted so well to these challenging conditions, especially given the disruption in their personal lives as well.

So what will the remainder of 2020 bring? We continue to invest in IT and will be launching a new European service shortly. The major challenge on the horizon is Brexit and time is running out. We know it will mean a major re-think yet again on how we do business. We are confident that we can adapt yet again but it we desperately need some clarification on what we will be adapting too.

We look forward to the next 11 years………..
